This is an excellent collectible condition set of BEN HOGAN Classic irons 3 to E (PW) with original Hogan Apex 3 Regular steel shafts (eight clubs in all).The clubs have original Green and Black Hogan grips that show their age but are still intact.
Golf Pride dual compound grips. The clubs are 0.5 inch shorter than standard length – the 5 iron measures 37.5 inches.
The set includes the “E” Wedge – i.e. the “Equalizer” after Hogan himself declared the that short game “ was the great Equalizer”… a comment resulting in naming the Pitching Wedge as the “Equalizer” from that time on.
This set has had very careful use and shows only very minor marking on the soles and the faces. Our photographs are a clear indication of surface condition.
